You will play a pivotal role in our kitchen working alongside a fantastic team. The food you prepare, cook and serve makes our guests smile and wanting more.What you will be doing:Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow ColleaguesEnsure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte andor buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standardsActively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily shift briefingsEnsure all kitchen Colleagues are aware of standards and expectationsLiaise daily with Outlet Chefs to keep open lines of communication regarding guest feedbackComplete daily checks of all mis en place to ensure freshness and quality standardsMaintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilageHave full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotionsEnsure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipmentFollow kitchen policies, procedures and service standardsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageOther duties as assignedPhysical Aspect of the Position (include but are not limited to):Constant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbsOccasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsQualificationsYour experience and skills include:Previous experience in the Culinary field required5-6 years of Culinary experienceJourneyman's papers or international equivalent requiredDiploma Certification in a Culinary discipline preferredComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications an assetStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesMust be legally eligible to work in Canada. Requirements

Requires 5-6 years of culinary experience and Journeyman's papers or an international equivalent. A diploma certification in a culinary discipline is preferred, along with legal eligibility to work in Canada.
