Royal Ashburn Golf Club focuses on creating seamless and memorable experiences, collaborating closely with guests to bring their unique visions to life and ensure extraordinary events from start to finish. Role Description The Chef De Partie is a full-time, on-site role based at Royal Ashburn Golf Club in Whitby, ON. This role is responsible for preparing and plating high-quality dishes for golf club guests, weddings, banquets, and special events, while maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control. Daily tasks include organizing and managing a specific section of the kitchen, following recipes and event menus, supporting service during peak periods, and coordinating with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef. The Chef De Partie ensures proper food handling, inventory rotation, and cleanliness, adheres to health and safety standards, and helps train and support junior kitchen team members. This role also collaborates with the culinary team to refine menus and contribute to an efficient, respectful, and guest-focused kitchen environment. Qualifications Strong culinary skills, including experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role, with proficiency in hot and cold kitchen preparation and plating. Experience in banquet, event, or high-volume restaurant environments, ideally supporting weddings, corporate functions, or large group dining. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and health regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workstation. Ability to manage a designated kitchen section, prioritize tasks, follow event timelines, and work efficiently during busy service periods. Collaborative mindset, with strong communication skills and the ability to work respectfully within a diverse kitchen and front-of-house team. Relevant culinary education or apprenticeship is an asset; Food Handler or equivalent certification preferred. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by golf and event operations. Reliable transportation to Whitby, ON, and the ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding kitchen tasks.
