If you are committed to providing exceptional customer service and want to join a team that shares this common goal, Delta is presently seeking 2nd Cook What you will be doing: Using a repertoire of cooking methods including poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking; Recognizing and following quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and grains, including proper storage of these items. Effective utilization of leftovers and control of waste; Knowledge of common food allergens and their substitutes; Developing and maintaining professional and positive working relationships with guests, vendors and coworkers; Supporting team to reach common goals, listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees; Helping to receive and store food deliveries, ensuring that all product is properly rotated to minimize wastage/spoilage; Monitoring and controlling maintenance/sanitation of the kitchen and equipment; Following directions from Chef; Supporting the team and delivering detail-oriented work; such other similar or related duties as may be required from time to time. The Person we’re looking for has: Passionate about Food & Beverage and a minimum of 1-2 years of similar work experience. Ability to understand and follow directions from others. Highly organized with great attention to detail. Possess the proven ability to plan and prioritize. A high school diploma or GED would be a plus. Basic knowledgeable of culinary operations, a team player, hard worker, and detail oriented. What We Offer: Eligible for $500 signing bonus upon completion of probationary period.
